How the Google Docs Update Affects Freelance Writers

Google is always on the forefront of change on the internet. Those in the world of freelancing are used to their Panda updates, but if you have been a long time user of their Doc’s platform, then you should get ready for the changes be effected there as well.

Google Docs has proved to be a great way to share, save and upload your documents without the need for additional costly storage. In addition to being free, documents shared via Google docs are compatible with every computing platform making it one of the must have items in your freelance toolbox.

One common hurdle most users found however was the inability to use it offline. Granted, freelancing is typically done via the internet, but there are plenty of occasions where you may choose to work with your files sans the net. Google has placed a custom application on all Apple products as well as many other mobile devices to better implement the new offline functionality of Google docs.  Google Chrome Books also come pre-installed with the Drive program, the new name for Google Docs.

Using the offline feature is very simple; all you have to do is to enable offline usage on your Google doc’s program. Initiating that will cause the system to download local copies of everything in your file for offline use.  Any documents you choose to work on while not connected to the internet will be synced automatically when your computer senses a connection. This feature is similar to the way Google’s Picasa syncs your images to their cloud servers while still leaving them accessible to you.

Right now, Google Docs and Google Drive exist separately while the internet giant completes the merge, after the merge is complete, only Drive will remain. You will have all the services offered by Google Docs, but with a whole lot more. One thing to note, during the conversion many files are simply not editable unless you are on your computer, accessing them from a mobile device will be the same as simply viewing a photo or using a file viewer.

Don’t let that deter you, as a freelancer, I don’t know how many times I have wanted to look at something I created months or even years ago but didn’t feel like turning on my computer. The ability to view those from my handheld device in itself is stunning. Not to give only bad news, there is a great new upgrade in the form of the drive’s search feature.

What is this feature you may ask? Well in the past, you had to either label your documents or put a title on your files in order for the system to pull up what you were looking for by name. Google has eliminated the need for labeling by introducing optical scanners that “read” your documents when you input a search. Say for instance you have 1,000 PDF files, but want to locate one that has certain information. If you know one or two words on the document, type that in the search bar and you will be presented with the exact document you are looking for or at the very least, a range of documents that have that stream of words together.

The update makes organizing and keeping your freelance files that much easier, I can’t wait to see what else Google has in store!

Is SEO Dyeing!!!!

Is SEO Dyeing? Is it hurts you? SEO experts may anguish with fire in that who I am to saying like this? What proof  drive me to saying like this..But be assure that I am not saying this! One of the expert's analysis tells all about it...... May this help you in your outsourcing career...............

The use of technology has upgraded mankind’s capability to accomplish great things. Recently, the knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) increased the prominence of website development and the visibility of these pages on famous search engines. As a result, there are millions of contractors online that specializes in SEO development. Although there are various techniques and methods to achieve the goal of making websites visible to search engines, SEO experts are open to the idea that Google might install a technology that can predict what the SEO technique does and its intentions. Is it possible that this may lead to the death of SEO?

Google is strict with SEO contractors and experts who do not follow their policies. They are making sure that contractors do not abuse the system. However if search engines are capable of upgrading their systems, SEO experts will look for ways to counter this new algorithm updates. A dying man who refuses death might live! Nothing is impossible. Although it might take some time, but the possibility is experts can counter the new algorithm with a new technique.

Check what strategies work and start from there!

If this algorithm update happens today, contractors must not panic. If there’s a will, there’s a way. Understand the new system first. Try to analyze how it works, and never try anything stupid that will cause a client’s website to suffer even further. Try your new strategies on “ghost” websites first; this is the safest thing to do. If it works, try it again until you are sure.

Observe policies.

In the first place, Google updated their system because of abusive SEO contractors who uses unethical techniques. Let clients understand that white hat strategies will benefit them in the long run, rather than those that are “spammy”. If clients are concerned with the reputation of their website, contractors must adhere to the policies of search engines for long term advantage. But it is possible that some clients are pushy and are willing to take the risk even if it is against the rules. If that is the case, contractors must specify their terms and conditions, point blank, lay down the cards and discuss the possible repercussions. But as a general rule, it is more beneficial to observe policies than break them, like in all working societies.

Ask for Assistance

Two heads are better than one. GetACoder is the place where experts and buyers meet to start the drill. There are millions of SEO contractors in the freelancing world. Try to ask one, two or as many experts about the algorithm updates and exchange some ideas. There are times that even experts need opinions from other individuals. Just try to imagine that there are millions of contractors who are also trying to solve the puzzle, so it is definitely possible to crack and work within the system.

Be a Better Freelancer!

How to be a better  freelancer? It's a difficult proposition but get ideas to be successful from the expert is a good idea, Isn't it? But let's find how it is as Heather Howell describes as under.

Freelancing is a great way to do the things you love on a schedule you can live with all, while taking more money home at the end of the day. That being said, freelancing also has its own set of expenses. When you work in an office environment, most of the tools to get the job done are already provided, but GetACoder freelancers have to fend for themselves when it come to building a productivity toolbox for their projects. New freelancers and veteran freelancers alike will tell you that saving money is always important in the business, so here is a list of resources that are reasonably priced that can help you be a better freelancer.

Google Apps

You can almost manage your entire freelance business via their apps without paying a dime. Calendars, document sharing, real time chats, free blogs and so on. The app store also has some nifty design tools for the more advanced freelancers.

Project Bubble

This is a great tool that allows you to create files for each client to track your progress on their assignment, invoice and communicate all in a bed based platform. The interface is easy to use and attractive to boot.

Creative Commons

This is a great place for sourcing stunning images for all of your projects. Not only can you get permission to use those images, but you can upload your creations for others to share and use as well.

Right Signature

Most client-freelancer relationships need contracts to be successful, not because there is no trust, but just because professionalism works better that way. But how do you get documents signed when you and your client are in different parts of the world-Right Signature of course. There is a free trial that allows you to create and have 5 docs signed before you need to purchase the service, and even after you go premium, the monthly fee is minimal. The documents are legally binding and copies are stored not only on the server, but also are given to all parties.

Vyew

Collaboration and communication are a big part of the freelancing world. Without effective tools, your project could be delayed or easily run off track. This free site allows you to have conferences online, set meeting with clients or team members and also has a premium options for video conferencing.

Free Contracts for Freelancers

Writing a contract is one of the hardest things to do, often, you will end up hiring some one versed in the field to do it for you. This resource gives you great templates that allow you to customize contracts and agreements according to your work and the project specs.

Zoho

This is another great site dedicated to applications for business management. Google has a lot, but Zoho has much more. Invoicing, presentation, database tools, doc management and much more are available for only $13 per month.

PayPal to Go

This is a new one that I think hasn’t hit most lists yet. Most freelancers already use PayPal for billing clients that they don’t see in person, but PayPal released a new gadget that allows you to process credit card payments in person with nothing but your mobile device. You attach to the top of your phone and it connects to the PayPal app. It is secured to your account lets you swipe a clients card for your services.

These are a few of the handy affordable tools that I use to make my freelancing business more successful, I would love to hear some of the tools you use in your daily lancing.

Learning the basics of Outsourcing

A Must readable topics for clients and contractors before start deciding to outsource:

Deciding to outsource some of the work for your company is a major decision. It is tempting to keep all the work in-house, where you can monitor every action; it is not always economically feasible. Sometimes outsourcing can save you a significant amount of labor and money. If you have considered outsourcing as an option for your company, you want to read as much about the topic as possible before you jump in. While there is plenty of information available online, some great books also cover the topic in depth. Look at some of the top books about outsourcing before you make your decision.

“The Black Book of Outsourcing: How to Manage the Changes, Challenges, and Opportunities” by Scott Wilson

This is often considered the bible in the world of outsourcing. Dozens of critics and specialists in the field have heaped praise on this guide, calling it a necessary read for anyone who considers outsourcing part of a project, or anyone who works as a contract worker. It provides an overall view of the costs and benefits to outsourcing, all the potential applications and how best to manage a team of outsourced workers.  While outsourcing is a hot topic among business leaders, this book teaches you how to best utilize it for your company. If you are an employee that has been outsourced to work on a contract basis, you will appreciate learning more about the other side of the business.

“Smartsourcing: Driving Innovation and Growth Through Outsourcing” by Thomas M. Koulopoulos and Tom Roloff

A bit of a lighter read when compared to the Black Book of Outsourcing, this is a great book to start with. It points out many of the benefits of outsourcing and helps decide the best ways you can utilize it for your company, without sacrificing quality of work.

“Vested Outsourcing: Five Rules That Will Transform Outsourcing” by Kate Vitasek, Mike Ledyard and Karl Manrodt

Even if you are an old hand at outsourcing, this book sheds new light on the subject and can help you view the subject in a new way. This book essentially teaches you how to adapt your business model into one that is outsourcing-friendly. Learning more about the potentials of outsourcing is one of the best ways to get the most for your labor dollar.

These are just a few of the more popular titles on the subject. Because outsourcing is such a controversial subject, it is easy to find information that covers both sides of the debate. Make certain you learn everything you can about both the pros and cons of outsourcing before you make a major decision for your business, then choose an outsourcing site of your choice to get started.

SEO Link Building Strategies 101

Plan your link building strategy, and you will probably be a step ahead of your competition. Link building can be a time-consuming effort that takes time to show results. However, carefully building your links can attract your target customer to your site. Below, I’m sharing link building tips to help you get noticed by both search engines and people.
 Chain link
Write Compelling Web Content
In a recent Women Grow Business chat about search engine optimization (SEO), someone asked me for my number one tip about SEO.

One chat participant chimed in, and I agreed, that writing compelling and relevant content proves extremely important. An organization can work just as hard to get 100 or 1,000 backlinks, so make sure the people visiting your site get their problem solved.

Good websites solve problems. What is the problem your content can solve? Do your potential visitors need to organize their house or get health questions answered? People won’t stay on a website or convert if the content isn’t answering their questions.

Your well-written, keyword-targeted content can help people and move your website higher in Google rankings.

Use a Tool to Help

The BatchBlue tool allows me to track my communications with bloggers and website owners.

Instead of searching through my old emails, I can view all relevant communications inside the web-based BatchBlue software. This saves me hours of time when I want to track responses and what was said.

When a blog stops publishing or contact information changes, I have a place to track those changes so I don’t waste time using old information next time. In addition, I can outsource certain tasks to others, saving myself even more time.

Ask and You Shall Receive

In a past life, I was a business and life coach.

What I noticed most in conversation with my clients was that they did not ask others for what they wanted.

One client wanted to take a class and lived in resentment about “not having time.” When she did finally ask her husband to watch their son—the spouse immediately said yes—she was able to take a class.

Have you asked that powerful website owner you admire for a link back to your site yet? If they say no, then volunteer to write a post for them (and ask if you can include a link to your site in your blog). If they still say no, then ask other people.

What is the best way to ask? Ideally, you know a little about your market. You’ve done your research about whether the site owner prefers email, Twitter, or another communication method.

You could even—gasp!—use the telephone to request a link. If you call and ask politely, you will certainly stand out from the all the other website managers sending emails.

PR + SEO = SEOPR

During the Women Grow Business chat mentioned above, chat host Shonali Burke asked me how PR and SEO could work together.

In the old days, I optimized press releases. Ideally, these press releases would appear online and the links from the press release service’s website would increase a website’s search engine rankings.

Sometimes press releases were written expressly for the purpose of getting the links, which is not a good idea.

When writing your own release, think of your organization’s story. A pitch you write for your local business journal will be far different from a release you write for your regional newspaper. Don’t overlook local news sources or stop yourself from aiming high.

If a news organization picks up your story, you may receive a coveted link from a high-quality news site. Among search engines, these highly regarded websites help your site’s credibility.

Take it Offline

I learned this from following the #pubcon hashtag on Twitter. I am not sure whose idea this was. However, I think Lee Odden tweeted it during a presentation. Find 50 Tweeps (people on Twitter) who blog and live in your local area. Organize an event around your business and invite them all. These folks will often live tweet or blog about your event later. This, as you can imagine, is an excellent want to get legal links back to your website.

Ways to Become an SEO Expert

This is part two of my article on becoming a SEO expert. You can find out the part one of this becoming SEO expert Here @ How to become SEO Expert-1.

By spending time in online marketing forums, you may find you absorb a lot more search engine optimization (SEO) information than you realize. When I joined my first tech forum, I was baffled by the techie language. Within a few months, I could hardly believe I’d ever not understood what they were talking about.

This article shares seven SEO forums and two excellent online marketing blogs. On SEO forums, you’ll find a mix of people managing niche websites, people wanting to market their brick and mortar business, black hat SEOs, and prominent leaders and “gurus” in the SEO field. As with anywhere in the world, some people will be kind and others rude.

Read on to get the list of seven SEO forums and two blogs.
  1. Warrior Forum: This internet marketing forum encompasses numerous aspects of SEO and online marketing issues. You can organize networking functions in your geographical area, complain about the latest “launch buzz” in the internet marketing world, or get advice on how to get top ten rankings. The forum is moderated, though not to a suffocating extent. At the same time, be sure to learn the rules and stick to them. People get annoyed easily here.
  2. SEO Black Hat: This is the only one I’ve not personally tried myself. I found out about it from Aaron Wall of SEO Book fame. You have to register before you can read any of the posts. However, it intrigued me enough to include it here. I’ll be checking this one out for myself soon.
  3. Digital Point: This is one of my favorite forums. The moderator(s) is extremely laid back, and the information shared proves more useful than not. The main website, Digital Point, offers a number of free SEO tools to help you analyze and assess your online marketing work. Keep in mind that you are giving away your website information when you use these free tools, so be careful.
  4. Search Engine Watch (SEW) Forums: This website, and its forums, have been on my “visit” list the whole time I’ve worked in SEO. I first started to learn the ins and outs of SEO at SEW. The site has an excellent reputation and many of the online marketing “gurus” hang out here and offer up useful information. Right now, there’s an interesting thread on a downturn in online sales. You can also find out the top 10 search terms in various categories.
  5. SEO Guy: The free SEO tools offered by the forum manager set this site apart from most.
  6. Thirty Day Challenge Forum: This is mostly for people doing the 30-Day Challenge I mentioned in part one of this SEO education series. However, it’s a great forum to get your feet wet and get your newbie questions answered. My only warning is to be sure that you are getting advice from someone who knows what they’re talking about — and not from another newbie.
  7. SEO Chat: Like most SEO forums, this one offers the Google chat rooms towards
the top. These forums offer multiple rooms on affiliate marketing, link popularity, MSN, Google, Yahoo, site reviews, SEO scripts and more.
  8. Sugarrae Blog: Rae Hoffman never minces words when it comes to SEO or any other topic she cares to tackle on her blog. I find her irreverent tone a breath of fresh air.
  9. SEO Moz Blog is read by nearly everyone I meet in SEO. The blog posts I’ve read recently have not offered the nuts and bolts and the latest SEO tips. Most of those are reserved for the paid membership. The blog does offer interesting takes and philosophical posts on subjects such as advice for startup CEOs.
Good luck creating your educational SEO plan. One day, you may find SEO offered in colleges. (I like that it isn’t yet.) Until that time, the best way to learn is to teach yourself and through trial and error.

What tools, forums, blogs do you find useful? Share them in the comments below.

Ways to Become an SEO Expert

Are you curious about how to improve your SEO skills? Are you a small business owner who wants to know a bit more about SEO?

It is now-a-days everybody's question what resources to use and which are best for learning about search engine optimization (SEO). With some of these resources, you may wonder what is the relation to SEO. Magazines.com may seem like an odd choice, yet it works to help you with your website and SEO if you let it.

Below are the first nine of my top 27 resources, including websites and online training, that may help develop ones skills.

This list is in no particular order. Here you go!

1. SEO Book: Aaron Wall, a delightful SEO blogger, wrote the big great book of search engine optimization. If you have the time and inclination to learn SEO, then this book will get you on your way. It’ll take study and work — no magic results unless you take action — yet the rewards you reap will help you achieve your online marketing and sales goals.

2. CopyBlogger: Thanks to Copyblogger, CopyBlogger is my all-time favorite copywriting blog. It offers numerous articles about content creation, SEO copywriting, engaging your readers, and even idea generation. When I need inspiration for writing an article, I often come to Copyblogger. Top Tip from the Site: Use Magazines.com for headline ideas.

3. Magazines.com: If you create niche websites, then this is a great place to start research and uncover interests people want to know more about. You might find magazines on golf, fishing or knitting here. That, in turn, can generate ideas for you to pursue in terms of website or product creation.
What if you are not a niche website owner? You can still use Magazines.com to generate headline ideas for your pay-per-click campaigns and avoid the common AdWords mistake of not writing the right kind of headline.

4. The Thirty-Day Challenge: If you are willing to work hard for 30 days, then this FREE training may appeal to you. Over the 30 days, you will have access to videos and podcasts that teach you how to use social bookmarking sites to promote your work, how to increase your site rankings and more. It is a lot of work! So, this is only for those willing to devote the time to it.

5. Wordtracker Free Keyword Tool This will provide you with limited access to keyword research results, yet even this free version gives you some great data. If you like the tool, you can purchase a monthly subscription to WordTracker, which is an economical way to test it out.

6. Keyword Discovery: This is another research tool that provides insight into what key phrases will receive the most traffic. Once you determine there’s traffic for a keyword, then you know what you should be writing about to get more visits to your website.

7. DoshDosh: I have affection for the writer of this blog. Observe how she or he uses links inside the blog posts to encourage you to visit more pages. That strategy is also known as “internal linking.” This site provides a good example of internal link strategies as well as numerous articles on juicy topics such as gaining more traffic
with StumbleUpon. I read DoshDosh on a regular basis.

8. Bloglines: Bloglines offers a way to organize your subscriptions to various blogs and RSS feeds. I’ve created folders called ‘internet marketing,’ ‘poetry,” and a few others to help me keep my feeds organized. Once you have your folders set up, you can easily add new feeds to them and then scan through several blogs in a short period of time to check out items of interest in your field. I use Bloglines to help me keep up with the latest in SEO and underwater basket weaving. (Just checking to see if you’re awake.)

9. Social Poster: This tool is free and allows you to post your articles to social bookmark sites quickly. If you’ve socially bookmarked your articles before, then you know how time consuming it can be to copy and paste the headline, URL, tags and so on each and every time. Social Poster removes some of the drudgery by allowing you to input the information one time. Your information either appears automatically or you click and drag to input it.

Do you have favorite SEO resources? If so, we’d all love to hear about them. Please post your favorites in the comments below.

Writing an Article in 30 Minutes

To get high rankings with your blog, you have to write articles. The search engines — those darling robots — are hungry creatures. They hunger for your blog content. If you are using SEO copy writing techniques, the robots will be able to “read” your content and classify it properly.

First, though, an article must be written. The actual writing of the article is often the most difficult part for people.

When it comes to writing, I notice that procrastination takes up the most time. We talk about writing blog posts when we could be sitting down and finishing our blog post in the amount of time we spent saying we have no time to write one. Okay, maybe it takes slightly less time to say we have no time than it does to write one.

Step One: Use a timer. Set your timer for 30-45 minutes and immediately start writing about a topic. If you finish one article draft, then move on to a second one. If you prefer, you can edit the first article draft rather than write a second draft.

Step Two: Always, always keep a list. You’ll hear common questions in your field or niche. Blog posts are an excellent way to answer these common questions from your clients or audience members at your speaking events. If you are on Twitter, you might ‘hear’ questions being asked. Instead of replying in 140 characters, you can write 200-500 words for your blog and provide a link in your Twitter feed to that. Generally speaking, more than one person will be interested in that answer.

Step Three: Keep a headline swipe file. Visit magazines.com and look at magazine covers to get catchy headline ideas. Just now, I saw a copy of Men’s Health. They have a headline that says “Strong Body, Strong Mind.” I could play on that idea and create a headline that says: “Strong Copy, Strong Blog.” Cosmopolitan has a title that says “How to Make Choices You’ll Never Regret.” You could change that to “How to Write Article They’ll Never Forget.”

I came up with the above titles in under 60 seconds in each case. I might decide to change them or toss them later, but I’ve got a start based on well-tested ideas for what works well to pique a person’s interest.

Do you have ideas to share about how to write a blog article? Please share in the comments to help us in doing better.

Basic SEO Tips To Get You Started(Contd.)

Back Again !!!!!

So, How was the last incomplete post? Eager to know what next? Here is the last part of the topics for you. Fasten you sit belt and go get it....

Avoid Flash

Avoid FlashFlash might look pretty, but it does nothing for        your SEO. According to the Search Engine Journal,
"Frames, Flash and AJAX all share a common problem – you can’t link to a single page...
Don’t use Frames at all and use Flash and AJAX sparingly for best SEO results."

"If you absolutely MUST have your main page as a
splash page that is all Flash or one big image, place text and navigation links below the fold," the post continues.

Image descriptions

Spiders can only search text, not text in your
images -- which is why you need to make the
Image descriptionswords associated with your images as
descriptive as possible.

Start with your image names: adding an "ALT" tag
allows you to include a keyword-rich description for every image on your site. Perfect Optimization explains an easy way to do this. The visible text around your images is valuable for SEO:

MarketPosition suggests adding captions to all your
pictures and being descriptive with the text in
immediate physical proximity to your images.

CONTENT

Your content needs to be fresh -- updating regularly
CONTENT
and often is crucial for increasing traffic.

"The best sites for users, and consequently for
search engines, are full of oft-updated, useful information about a given service, product, topic or discipline,"  MarketingVox explains.

One way to ensure that your site
gets new content on a frequent basis is to integrate a blog. "Get the owner or CEO blogging. It’s priceless!" the Search Engine Journal suggests. An executive blog is an excellent way to reach out to your clients, create more opportunities for internal and external linking, while giving your site a more
personal voice.

Social media distribution

Social media distributionA CEO blog is just one element of social media      distribution, an important SEO strategy according
to SEO Consult. You should be distributing links
to fresh content on your site across appropriate
social networking platforms.

Whether displayed on your company's account,
or recommended, re-tweeted, and re-distributed by
someone else, this strategy exponentially muliplies the number of places where visitors will view your links.

Link to others

An easy way to direct more traffic to your site is
Link to othersby developing relationships with other sites.

PC World suggests that you personally ask
the webmasters of well-respected sites if they'll
include a link to your site on theirs. Be sure to
return the favor -- then everyone wins!

Make certain that your partner has a good
web-reputation, of course. MarketingVox
warns against getting tied to a "link farm"
whose bad SEO habits could bring you down.

Basic SEO Tips To Get You Started

Before you start....keep in mind

Every business with a Web site should make
Search Engine Optimization -- trying to get
your site as high up as possible on Google
and Bing search-results pages -- a part of
their growth strategy.
Google Search Event
At its most basic, "SEO" means finding ways to
increase your site's appearance in web visitors'
search results. This generally means more traffic
to your site.

While intense SEO can involve complex site
restructuring with a firm (or consultant) that
specializes in this area, there are a few simple
steps you can take yourself to increase your
search engine ranking.

All it requires is a little effort, and some re-thinking of how you approach content on your site.

Monitor where you stand

Monitor where you standYou won't know if your SEO efforts
are working unless you monitor your
search standings. MarketingVox
suggests that you keep an eye on
your page rank with tools
like Alexa and the Google toolbar.

It's also important to check your
referrer log regularly to track where
your visitors are coming from and the
search terms they're using to find your
site, according to PC World.

 Keywords, keywords, keywords!

You should be conscious of placing
 appropriate keywords throughout
every aspect of your site: your titles,

content, URLs, and image names.
Think about your keywords as search
terms -- how would someone looking for
information on this topic search for it?

The title tag and page header are the
two most important spots to put keywords,
 PC World notes.

BEWARE: Putting ridiculous amounts of
keywords on your site will get you labeled
as a spammer, and search engine spiders are
programmed to ignore sites guilty of
"keyword-stuffing." Be strategic in your
keyword use.

Link back to yourself

There is probably no more basic strategy for SEO
Link back to yourselfthan the integration of internal links into your site
-- it is an easy way to boost traffic to individual
pages, SEO Consult says.

You should make it standard to link back to
your archives frequently when creating new content.
MarketingVox advises that you also make the anchor text search-engine-friendly: "The more relevant words point to a page, the more likely that page is to appear in search results when users run a
query with those terms."

As with all other SEO approaches, be sure your
links are appropriate, and be careful not to cross
the line into excessive linking -- you don't want
your visitors to get annoyed.

Create a sitemap

Create a sitemap

Adding a site map -- a page listing and linking to all   the other major pages on your site -- makes it easier
for spiders to search your site.

"The fewer clicks necessary to get to a page on
your website, the better," advises MarketingVox.

Search-friendly URLs

Make your URLs more search-engine-friendly
Search-friendly URLsby naming them with clear keywords.
SEO Consult explains:

"For instance, it’s easy to understand what
‘www.puppyfun.co.uk/puppyhealth/vitamins’
would contain. It’s less easy to understand if the
in-house classification system of the business is
used, for example ‘www.puppyfun.co.uk/11789/s201.htm’.

A dynamic URL is similarly off-putting, even if it contains recognisable words: ‘www.puppyfun.co.uk/search/?s=”health”’.

That's all for the day. Get back to refreshed. We'll be back again with the rest very shortly. Till then ByE..

Ways to Increase Reader’s Engagement on Your Blog

Engagement of your Reader’s on Your Blog

While you might be satisfied with just getting people to your blog, keeping them there is the real challenge. With such hard work involved in getting a visitor to your blog, it would be a shame to have them hit the back button without reading or interacting with your content at all.
Luckily, there are things that you can do to retain visitors so that they will explore your content, share them with their friends and family, and keep them coming back for more.

Here, I’ve listed 4 ways that you can increase a reader’s engagement on your blog.

1. Have a Clean Layout

Everything starts with the first impression. If a visitor were to land on your page and is met with flashing banners asking them to click on them, they will most likely leave your blog without a second thought. Make sure that your blog is mostly filled with content and have the ads placed on the side. Having ads is important to any Publisher, but place them improperly will actually detract from your blog’s appeal.

2. Link to Your Old Posts

Creating entries that are linked to previous posts allows you to have visitors that haven’t read your content before interact more with your site. Linking to old posts shows that you are writing relevant content that could relate back to the topic your visitor was looking for, leading to more time spent browsing your blogs.

3. Make Searching and Navigation Easy

For visitors, it’s a hard chore to plow through loads of articles just to find the content they are looking for. Make their life easier by adding a search box that tags to the appropriate content. Also, add a navigation bar showing different categories so that visitors can easily go to topics or explore subjects if they are just curious and don’t have a specific topic in mind.

4. Unique Content

Create your own unique content so that it stands out from the rest of the blogs. Since there are millions of bloggers on the internet, there are probably blogs on topics similar to yours. What makes your content special and make them come back for more? Add your own twist by giving your own opinions or thoughts to lure those visitors back for more.

So, Follow it, grab it and go......
