Beginner's Link Building Tricks.

There are many ways to build links discussed around the web.

You can find that some says there have been articles showing 101 ways to build links, 200 ways, etc.

What most people need is not a HUGE list of link building techniques but only the most valuable techniques/the most simplified techniques. The 5 best styles of links may be found based upon :

1.High Relevance

2.High Linkabilty/Viral Content

3.High Authority

4.High Traffic

5.and maybe even High PageRank

Give more than expected and people will link to you from across the web. According to the compilation of EVERY link building technique out there, I have come to conclude the following tactics as the most far reaching and over-arching techniques a webmaster/SEO/SEM can do. Here they are:

1.Article Distribution: Do Article Submissions, possibly even get article submitters to do the article submissions for you — There IS the Article Submitter software, but it is a pain, considering the tediousness of the program…Just build great articles and send them out to the article submission land list (The Article Sites Mster List is a great start)

2.Blog Comenting: This is the best way to build links, regardless of the nofollow, you will be capable of making friends with the blogs you comment on most. Networking on the web is the way of viral link building.

a.Comment and participate on blogs within your niche

b.Email them, LINK to them, they’ll reciprocate through time.

c.Use social bookmarking and trending sites to discover related topics and expand your groups, forums and blog search further

3.Submit Your Blog & RSS:  Feed Use the Best Blog/Site Directory And RSS Submission Sites. Another list of sites to submit your Blog feed.

4.List Your Site in Directories: Use Directory Submitter, there are also services out there that will submit to 3k+ directories for less than $1,200…Crazy. Or just submit to the main directories including Yahoo, Business.com and BOTW.org.

5.“Parasite” Host Sites/Blogs: Don’t spam, for that is far too black-hat, just make many blogs on hosts such as Blogger and give respect to your fellow readers.

6.Trending and Tracking: to find the latest and Meme-ist stories — Catch and follow the memes in order to build links based upon popular stories (Finding stories off the front page of the Social Bookmarking sites for inspiration is a great idea).

7.Get .Gov links: by doing work for the government on a free basis/writing reports for them (i.e. be creative – .Gov SEO Ideas/Reports)

8.Do the same for .edu’s:  Drop ads on the student job boards and drop links on internship opportunities (Many other options here – Idea: Pay college students for links on their .edu’s and build links to their personal student sites in order to get GREAT .edu links)

9.Do Reviews: on sites such as ePinions, Alexa, Amazon, the WhoIs Wiki, etc.and answer questions on Yahoo Answers. Put in good words and create an authority for yourself

10.PR 3.0:  Do Squidoo lenses on your topic, Start a wiki on Wikia (/start your own wiki), write Wikipedia articles related to your firm, Googlepages, Blogspot, Myspace, Wordpress, Typepad blogs and Spaces.Live.com.

11.Buy Links and Request Links: Use Text-Link-Ads, you shouldn’t get in trouble no matter how fearful Google tries to make you feel. Request text link ads and use these templates for writing the proper link requests — I HIGHLY recommend hiring a link builder from India, they are very good at following templates and getting the work done.

12.Forum, Group Postings and Classified Ads: Write relevant and thoughtful posts on the largest forums and groups, do not spam and you will be forever rewarded with thousands+ of links. Post CraigsList, Kijiji and USFreeAds as well as ads on other classified ad sites and build links through them — Craigslist is using nofollow now and your ad will be deleted every 7 days or so, so keep on reposting if you want Craigslist link love.

More to come, those are only the beginning ideas. There are so many other ways to build links and tens to hundreds of thousands of webmasters are using those same techniques. Widget creation, Facebook app utilization and other ideas are on their way for link and traffic building.

So keep on reading more and more to learn many more on the issue to yourself success........

Adsense Facts

Many website publishers apply for Google Adsense accounts due to the fact that it is one of the biggest providers of internet ads which pay significantly higher than others out there. Although Google never disclose their payments secret, many publisher believe to trust on Google as they are best.Google Adsense also offers fast and easy way to display contextual ads to website publishers of all sizes. However, more and more people get denied on their application unlike those days when it is relatively easy to acquire a Google Adsense account.

If Your Site Is Rejected by Google...

If you receive that email from Google stating that your site has not been accepted, the first thing you should remember is that as an AdSense member, you become a partner and are representing Google, Inc.

They have to make sure the websites that display these ads are up to par or they could run the risk of losing advertisers. Imagine if you were paying Google to display your ad and you found it showing up on a poorly developed, junky website.

Of course, if your site is rejected, it doesn't mean it is poorly developed. There may be other reasons:
  • Have you read out TOS carefully?
You did not read the terms and conditions of Google Adsense. That’s right! Most people simply treat Google’s terms and conditions lightly without knowing that even the smallest violations to it can cause denied applications.

  • Is your site an "About Me" page?
Google does not usually accept these kinds of personal sites because most of them do not have a specific topic or theme. They are usually just random facts about the website owner or their hobbies, pictures, etc.

It would be difficult for Google's technology to display targeted ads on these kinds of pages because the topics vary from subject to subject.

They are looking for "themed" sites that contain a generous amount of information on a specific topic. It could be anything from sewing tips to sports. Just make sure there is an obvious theme with adequate information.

  • Is your site dynamic enough?
Site is not dynamic. Basically, Google wants dynamic web pages where it is constantly updated like blogs. This helps bring in more potential visitors on your website everyday and hence more clicks on Google ads.

  •  Is your site organized?
Be sure your site has a neat and clean navigation that's easy to follow. Also ensure all the links work and that there are no typos. Keep the colors to a minimum and make sure each page has a consistent layout.

  • Is your application provided with info needed?
Information provided on the application is incorrect. Don’t let typo errors ruin your future. Double check all your entries to ensure accuracy on the information you provide.

  • How many pages are on your site?
Even though Google doesn't specify a page number requirement, many believe they are looking for web sites with a certain amount of content. Again, it's not likely a two-page site will get accepted. Try to strive for at least 15 pages.

  • Is your content unique?
Site content is not original or will not convert well for advertisers. If you built your site for the purpose of Google Adsense revenue, then you should pick your content more carefully. Majority of the reasons why Google Adsense application gets denied is content. Personal sites will most likely get denied because it does not need advertising.
  •  Is your content solid?
Don't just submit a website with a bunch of links to other sites. Be sure you have a themed/niche site with enough original content of your own.

  • Do you banned earlier?
You were banned or blacklisted before. If Google banned your account in the past, you will not get approval unless you contact them prior to application. It depends on the gravity of your previous violation if they will reconsider to give you another shot.

If you're stuck, write a few articles of your own and then go to sites like http://www.articlecity.com/ and sprinkle a few of their articles around your site to beef it up.

How to Join AdSense

Making a Google Adsense Account is fast and very easy. With an account you will have access to more services and online enhancements than simply searching the internet. A Google Account is designed to make your online experience more productive and enjoyable. Follow these steps and you will have a Google account in no time.

1.Click here to go to Google.com. If you land on iGoogle that is fine, but to create an account you'll find it easier to simply click "Classic Home".

2.Then click the link that says "Sign In". Next you will need to click the link that tells you to create an account.

3.Google needs you to provide a valid email address. They also need you to make a password and tell them your location. The last step here is to fill in the word verification box.

4.Click the link that states "I accept. Create my account". Open your email account and then open the verification email from Google Accounts. Click the link or cut and paste into your browsers address bar. You're done you can begin to enjoy the new services immediately.

This article was written with our younger friends in mind. Most people think that things like this are common knowledge and are embarrassed to simply ask someone how to make a google account. So, here it is. Above all have fun with it.

Get started in minutes

Becoming an AdSense publisher is simple. All it takes is a single online application. Once you're approved, AdSense takes only minutes to set-up. Just copy and paste a block of HTML and targeted ads start showing up on your website.

Access thousands of advertisers

With Google’s extensive advertiser base, we have ads for all categories of businesses—and for practically all types of content, no matter how broad or specialised. And since Google provides the ads, you have no advertiser relationships to maintain.

The AdSense programme represents advertisers ranging from large global brands to small and local companies. Ads are also targeted by geography, so global businesses can display local advertising with no additional effort. And you can use AdSense in many languages.

Earn more revenue

You can maximise your revenue potential by displaying Google ads on your website. Google puts relevant CPC (cost-per-click) and CPM (cost per thousand impressions) ads through the same auction, and lets them compete against one another. The auction takes place instantaneously, and, when it's over, AdSense automatically displays the text or image ad(s) that will generate the maximum revenue for a page -- and the maximum revenue for you.

Getting Ad code:

When you are accepted, you can choose any one of the options available:

1)Simply copy and paste the provided HTML code into any page that you'd like to show the ads.
or
2)You can choose to let Google automatically put ads on your site to show.

If you've done a good job of defining the content on your web pages, the ads that show should be relevant to the content of your page...increasing the chances of click-thrus by your visitors.

You can either display the ads vertically along side the page like Google does or in a banner-like formation horizontally across your pages. The placement is up to you. You can even customize the colors to match your site's theme.

Adsense facts

What is AdSense?

Adsense is a contextual advertising program by Google which allows website publishers to generate revenue from their sites by placing ads from the Google Adwords network on them. Each time these ads are clicked on by one of your visitors you earn a share of the revenue that Google makes from charging that particular advertiser.

"Google uses its Internet search technology to serve advertisements based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted advertisement system may enroll through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the advertisements are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the advertisements is often relevant to the website. The use of proxy is allowed but if you use a proxy to enter your adsense account your account will be disabled.                                         --------------What WIKI Says.

Google.com earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.

Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text ads on your site. In other words, you're helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn and this is what   ................................. In brief about AdSense.

Every website owner should at least consider the program. Even if your site is just for information purposes, you can still participate and make decent money with AdSense -- or at least enough to fund your website.

So if you are one of those people that doesn't like the idea of paying for a site, this is an excellent way to earn your money back and then some.

What Google Says about Adsense :

"Google AdSense™ automatically delivers text and image ads that are precisely targeted to your site and your site content—ads so well-matched, in fact, that your readers will actually find them useful"

For more information on where the ads actually come from and how which ads appear is determined take the Adsense Tour.

You're probably thinking..."Is Google Crazy?"

"What's the Secret? Is Google just give away money advertisers are paying them?"

The answer...

Google is very smart in its own way.

If you know how AdSense works, you will see that it's a win-win situation for everyone involved, and the bottom line benefit is Google's. look at the explanation  below.....

Since the advertiser's ads are now being displayed on more web sites all over the internet (instead of just Google's site), they are getting much more exposure. More exposure means more clicks and even more traffic for their site over a shorter period of time.

This is good news for Google because the more traffic the advertisers receive, the faster their advertising funds are used up.

Remember, they get charged every time their site gets a visit; and of course, it is Google's hope that they'll continue to keep funneling more money into their account for more ad exposure.

What an ingenious way for Google to increase the amount of money they earn from advertisers while building loyalty with website owners (like us) who are now getting paid to help them advertise.

Of course, I'd expect nothing less from the most popular search engine on the web. :)

Google does not disclose exactly how much you'll earn per ad that is clicked.

The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount. I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.

So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like debt free, employment, make money, mp3, sex, etc. will earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on the web.

Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms because they are searched for more.

Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.

For example, if you see that you've made $14.60 today from 20 clicks then you can calculate that your average click-thru commission was $0.73 per click. That's as detailed as their stats will get. Also remember, that's only an average. You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.

The amount you'll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience's interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.

Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about. That way you'll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.

Why to believe AdSense Works So Well

For years, website owners have tried to make money from their sites by putting up banner ads in hopes of visitors clicking them. The problem with banner ads is that the Internet audience is so immune to them, people do not click on them anymore.

When's the last time you clicked a banner ad?

...Exactly!

Second, in order for the web site owner to earn money from that banner ad, usually the web surfer that clicks has to purchase something. With AdSense, your visitors just have to click the ads. They don't have to purchase a single thing.

Third, most people that use banner ads do not do a good job of matching the ads to the website's content so the click thru percentages are dismal.

With Google's AdSense, not only are you displaying text ads, (which tend to receive a much higher click-thru rate than banner ads), but you are displaying contextual ads that match your website's content....thanks to Google's advanced technology.

Lots of times people think the ads are part of your site's content so they click because the information is relevant to your site. Whereas with banner ads, they often have little relevance and people tend to ignore them no matter how much they flash and fly across the page.

Search Engine Optimization

What next?

In the earlier step we have learnt how to get listed with Google. Here we are going to conclude our discussion with the details of how to list sites with the rest two of BIG THREE.

How to reach Yahoo and Live (Formerly MSN, now Bing)

Most websites get into Yahoo and Live by getting spidered from other sites. Meaning if you're already linked from another site or web directory, Live and Yahoo's robots will eventually find you when they update their search index.

If you don't want to wait to get spidered, you can submit directly to Live by going here http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx.

Do not keep re-submitting your site. It will not speed up the process of getting listed and may even get you banned.

Yahoo's direct submission site is www.search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html or http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

The Yahoo Directory

Not to be confused with the regular Yahoo search function, the Yahoo directory is also a place you can add your site.

When you go to Yahoo.com and enter a search into the box, you are using their regular search engine, not the directory. So it is possible to be included in Yahoo's regular search index and not be included in their directory.

The Yahoo directory is actually a categorical listing of sites located here http://dir.yahoo.com/ and it's not used very much by web surfers.

The real benefit to being listed here is to have a high quality link pointing to your site. Many search engines look at who is linking to you and if you have a link from the Yahoo directory, it may give you some "credibility" points.

Some believe that having a listing in the directory will help boost your rank in Google and other engines. There is no solid proof of this, however. Yahoo also states that if you are listed in their directory, it does not have any affect on your position in their regular search results.

If your site is commercial it will cost you $299 per year to be included in Yahoo's directory. So if you can justify/afford the cost, I would still recommend getting into Yahoo just to have the high-quality link pointing to your site - but don't expect a lot of traffic from the actual page you'll be listed on.

It's up to you to decide if it's worth it or not. Many webmasters do quite well in the "Big 3" search engines without a listing in the Yahoo directory.

If you're building a money making website then free search engine traffic is an absolute must. To became successful, and to Earn Money Smartly from Home you have to know the trick..

It's only getting tougher out here to master Google and other engine's algorithm and so many people are doing it wrong as they sit and wonder why they can't find their site in the results. Good knowledge to do it right without wasting money will help in the process.

Search Engine Optimization

How to get listed with popular Search Engine?

Getting listed in Google and the other popular search engines is one of the most effective ways of directing free, targeted traffic to your website.

Below you'll discover what the search engines look for when determining your page rank so you can optimize your pages for best results. This is often called SEO or search engine optimization.

Now a days, the marjority of traffic comes from the major search engines.

To Get Listed In Google - the BIG shot

There are three ways to list your site with Google, but I will warn you that using any one of these 3 methods no longer guarantees your site will be listed.

Google is getting more and more selective about who gets in, and the first step is ensuring that your site is full of useful, unique content.

After that, work on getting quality, relevant sites to link back to you. These days those two steps are the best ways to find your site in the almighty Google.

Having said that, here are some methods that may also get you in...

1) Get your site listed in The Open Directory - http://www.dmoz.org./

How to get in Dmoz

This is a directory that is managed by volunteers that act as "category editors." To list your site, simply go to the most appropriate category for your web site, then drill down to the relevant subcategory and select the "Add URL" link at the top of that category's page.

Wait about a month to see if your site appears. If it does not, I recommend emailing one of the category editors and asking for advice on how to get your site listed. If you're lucky, you'll receive a helpful response, but most of the category managers do not answer emails.

Sometimes it may take up to one year for an editor to review and list your site and other times it may only take a couple of weeks. Be patient and please don't keep submitting!

Unfortunately since DMOZ is run by volunteers, the time it takes to get your site reviewed really depends on the availability of the volunteers. Sometimes they may not check the submissions for weeks, which can be quite frustrating for people trying to get listed.

Lately, it seems to be more and more difficult to get in, but the good news is this is not the only way to get into Google. Years ago this was one of the fastest ways to get listed and ranked. Fortunately there are other options that are just as effective, and I'll discuss those below.

Warning: Don't try to submit to The Open Directory unless you have enough useful information on your site. If your site is only one or two pages long, then you won't likely get listed. They want medium to large sized web sites with useful and unique content. Strive for at least 15 pages.

If you need more content, articlecity.com has some free articles you can post on your site. Simply find the category that closely matches your theme and add them. Be careful though, don't use too many articles because the engines may penalize your site if you have too much duplicate content.

2) The second way to get listed in Google is to use their own Add URL form located here http://www.google.com/addurl.html. This method is not as dependable as listing with The Open Directory, but it can get you in. Google admits that they may not add every site, so don't be surprised if this does not work for you.

3) The third way to get listed is to be linked from another web site that is already in Google. That way, when Google's spider goes to visit that site for updates, it will pick up the link to your site and add it. This method does not always work, but many sites do get in this way.

Getting tired.......... Don't be........ we are at the very last moment to reach our goal of optimization.

Search Engine Optimization

What is Search Engine Optimization?

"Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

The acronym "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure."
                                                                                         ................................ That's what Wiki says

How Search Engines Determine Your Rank?

Before you try to add your site to the search engines, you should understand what they look for when they decide how to rank your site. Just because you're listed doesn't mean you'll get traffic. You have to make sure your site is search engine ready.

The general rule of thumb is that most engines use a "formula" to determine keyword relevancy. The technical term is called an "algorithm", and each search engine has its own unique algorithm that it uses to rank pages.

Generally, this magic formula consists of your page title, overall body content and the number and quality of links pointing back to your site, how long people stay on your site, etc.

It's important to note that every engine is different. Some may look at inbound links (number of people linking to you), others may place more emphasis on your body content. These days, meta tag content is becoming less and less important.

In case you don't know, meta tags are hidden descriptors that appear at the beginning of your HTML code, inside your tag. They may be invisible to your visitor's eyes, but search engine spiders can read them.

They usually consist of a title, description, and keyword tag and they look something like this:

<head>
<title>Title of Your Site</title>
<meta name="description" content="Description
of your site here.">
<meta name="keywords" content="keywords
separated by commas">
</head>

Because of abuse, many search engines no longer use these tags to help rank pages, but you should still include them because they do use them to display information about your site.

For example, whatever is inside the the <title> tag is what the search engine will use as the title of your site in the search results.

Don't fall over.............

Don't stress out over the meta tags. You should definitely use them on every page. Just understand that how well you rank depends on how popular your site becomes over time.

Google, Yahoo and Bing (Live) - The Big Three

There are a handful of engines out there that bring traffic, but the reality is a very large percentage of search engine traffic comes from Google, Yahoo and Bing. Yes, there are other engines like AOL, Netscape etc., but they pull their results from the Big 3.

So in other words, once you start getting traffic from Google, Yahoo and Bing, you'll rank well in the others automatically.

Be patient a little bit..........take a cup of tea or coffee.

Make Money With an Information Website

The Internet has been life-changing over the past few years. Any one can earn enough to stay at home full-time with internet and now a days this kind of success online one can  really dreamed of it.

How can you EARN a LIVING from a website ?

Simply pick a topic you love and write a website about it. All you need is information. You don't even have to have your own product or service to sell.

The more passionate you are about the topic, the easier it will be to keep adding information, develop your unique spin and expanding the site. The larger the site, the more it will benefit you in terms of free search engine traffic and revenue. After start you'll also learn how it is..........

I want to show you that it is possible to make an honest living online without spamming or scamming people. All you need is time, patience and the desire to learn.

You also can't be a stranger to hard work. I've put in some serious time over the years. In fact, I still do even though the money is rolling in now. I sacrificed many evenings, weekends, holidays, etc. to devote to this venture.

I'm constantly reading, adding new information to my sites, researching and observing what others are doing to stay ahead of the curve. However, the best part about it is, it doesn't feel like real work because I thoroughly enjoy it.

That is important and unfortunately most people don't get that part of it. They believe that the desire to make money will be enough motivation to become successful.   It's not.

If that were the case, everyone would have a successful money-making website. I mean, who doesn't want to make a lot of money, right?

The money comes as a result of doing what you enjoy!

It's not the other way around. If you don't enjoy it, you won't be successful because you'll eventually get burned out.

How You Can Make Money

The Internet is the information highway. Everyday millions of people go to Google, MSN and Yahoo to perform searches on anything from potting plants to investing stocks.

People want information and the way you can benefit from this is to build a website that gives people what they are looking for.

The money comes in with affiliate programs. These are programs that are offered by companies that pay website owners to refer their products.

Generally, they pay a certain percentage for every sale that comes in as a result of your site's referral. Amazon.com has one and it's very popular among website owners.

Google's Free Affiliate Program

Thank goodness for programs like Google Adsense. This is a slightly different type of affiliate program because you don't have to get your visitors to buy anything.

You simply help Google advertise by displaying some text ads on your pages and they pay you for every click each ad receives. Thanks to Google's technology the ads that will be displayed match your site's content.

I use Adsense on  my websites and I am quite pleased with the results as a recent starter.

No Products to Ship or Manage

The nice thing about information websites that make money from affiliate programs (rather than selling hard goods) is that you can leave your website for days, weeks or months and still continue to make money without having to handle inventory or talk to customers.

Remember, your site serves as the middleman and refers products for other company websites. The actual company that pays you is the one that ships the products and deals with the customers.

An online business is no different than an offline. Even though there are some differences in how the businesses are run, they both require time, work and patience.

But the great thing about online is once you are established you can leave your site for months and still come back to the same income. I don't know many offline companies that can say that!

The Best Way to Build Your Site

Now that you know a bit about how you can earn money with an information website, you need to select a web host so you can build your website.

If you've read any other parts of the "EarnMoney" section of this site, you'll see the words "Blogger" everywhere. People can ask me why I promote that product ?.

My answer is always very simple...

I am satisfied and it works!

So, As a starter why don't you experince it !!!!  Go get it.

Using FeedBurner

Once you create your blog, you'll want to learn a bit about RSS feeds and how to mange and promote your blog's feed.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it's a file (often called a web feed) that contains information about your most recent blog posts.

So if someone wants to keep up with your newest content, they can subscribe to your feed using their favorite RSS reader.

I use Google Reader to keep up with blogs I follow, but there are a ton of free RSS readers available. The Firefox browser even has one built in to the Bookmarks feature.

What is Feedburner?

Feedburner (FB) is a free service owned by Google that tracks information about your RSS feed. It reports how many subscribers/readers you have and also provides ways to promote and display your feed content.

This is how many RSS feed subscribers/readers I have on my blog Earn Money Smartly from Home today. The number updates everyday based on statistics Feedburner gathers about your feed's readership.

So Feedburner allows you to display this info on your site if you wish and you can customzie the color of the widget. Of course, if you'd rather not announce your stats to the world, you can view them privately in the comfort of your own Feedburner account.

What is a Feed URL?

Before you get started with Feedburner, you need to find out your blog's feed address.

1) If you are using Blogger, look at the bottom of your blog template. There is probably a link that says something like Posts (Atom). Hover your mouse over the link and right-click, then choose "Copy Link Location" or "Copy Shortcut".

2) If you're using WordPress then your RSS feed is probably something like

yourdomain.com/feed or blog.yourdomain.com/feed (if your blog is on a sudomain).

This is the feed URL of your blog and it's automatically updated when you make a new post.

 How to Join Feedburner?

When you join FB, the first thing they will ask you to do is "burn your feed." This is where you enter the URL that I showed you how to locate above.

That means you are going to redirect this original feed URL to a new Feedburner address for tracking and reporting.

So instead of using the original blog feed address, you will use your new FB address for promotion. Now, when telling people to subscribe to your blog, you will send them to the FB address.

For example, the Feedburner address/URL for my blog is...

http://feeds.feedburner.com/earnmoneysmartlyfromhome

Now you're ready to start promoting your feed so people can subscribe to it.

Most people link to their feeds using the infamous, orange RSS icon and a hyperlink. An example is below...

Subscribe to my blog's RSS feed

I would highly recommend making your feed link visible. If your audience loves your site, they'll be looking for this link.

Displaying Your RSS Feed Items on Web Pages

One cool thing about FB is that you can publicize your feed data very easily. Say you have a website and a blog and you want to show your most recent blog post titles on your website's homepage.

This is simple to do with Feedburner. You just go to the "Publicize" tab and select "Buzz Boost." Follow the steps, copy and paste the code into your site and your latest blog posts will automatically populate on your site.

Here's an Example:

Creating RSS feed

Creating RSS Feeds for Your site

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or it's sometimes referred to as Rich Site Summary. It's an XML-based content format for distributing news, headlines, content, etc.

Most popular sites news sites and blogs provide RSS feeds for you to subscribe to. All you need is a feed reader to view its contents.

Feed readers come in all shapes and sizes these days. The Firefox browser has one built right into the Bookmarks feature. I use Google Reader.

You can also create feeds for your own website so your audience can subscribe to them. If you update your content frequently and promote the feed effectively, it can help drive more steady traffic to your website.

What's the advantages of Creating RSS Feeds

More Traffic

For webmasters this is an excellent way to bring repeat traffic to your site. Think about it....every time a web surfer opens their RSS reader to get the headlines for all the sites they monitor, they'll also see your site's updates.

Instead of relying on them to bookmark your site and return at a later date, their RSS reader keeps your site fresh in their minds.

So when they open their reader to check the headlines for CNN, Yahoo or any other feeds they subscribe to, they'll also get the latest updates from you!

Avoid Email Spam Filters

Many webmasters are now dumping their newsletters and switching to this method of content distribution because you don't have to worry about dodging the spam filters.

I don't think that RSS will completely replace email newsletters, but I can see them definitely being used as an alternative more and more.

When you send an email newsletter more than 40-50% of the people won't even receive it due to spam filters or because of the fact it gets lost in all the junk mail your subscribers receive.

With RSS feeds, you don't have to worry about that because you're not sending an email, your simply sending out a news feed for all the readers to pick up.

Export Your RSS Feed

The cool thing about these feeds is that other people can use them as content on their site. So if you have a feed that is of particular interest to another webmaster, they can post your content on their site with a simple javascript code. This is another great traffic opportunity!

Use a Blog Instead

If you don't want to buy extra software to create your RSS feed, there is another way to create one for free.

You can create a free blog at Blogger.com and the RSS feed URL is automatically generated for you. This is the easiest way to go. So every time you post to your blog, the feed is updated instantly.

WordPress is another site that offers a free blog equipped with and RSS feeds.
Read about How to create your own blog Here.

Announcing Your Feeds on Your Blogsite

One of the easiest ways to announce your feed on your site is to use FeedBurner.com. They provide a redirect URL (address) for your feed that your audience subscribes to.

The benefit is that if you move your blog and your RSS feed URL changes, you don't have to worry about losing your subscribers because the redirect URL they provide stays the same.

FeedBurner provides several methods of announcing your RSS feeds. You can display a traditional RSS button, rotate your feeds in banner-style on your web pages, etc.

Choosing a Blog topic(contd.)

How to choose

It's not a wise deed  to choose a topic that you have no concept with. Unless you have the proof you are making some cash online and plan on showing people how you've done it, then you run the risk of creating a site like the millions of other "get rich online" sites.

Have you ever searched for make money online in Google? Not to mention this niche is overly saturated and you'd have a hard time generating traffic.

There are millions of sites on this topic and it's difficult to decipher which ones are real and which ones are just scams. You don't want to be lumped into that pile of mush.

Why Topic Choosing is So Important?

You have to make it understand that sites that do well online are sites that have their own unique thoughts and spin on a certain topic. The content is well written, updated frequently, the Webmasters understand the basics of Net marketing and they know their audience very well.

These are the things you must regard well if you want to become successful, and it will not happen overnight. So this is one reason choosing topic is crucial.

Don't be disheartenedy you have to be patient while waiting on that traffic to come, so you might as well choose something that will keep your interest or you'll get bored and abandon your site.

And don't worry about what others are doing. Just because you see someone making millions with one topic, don't think you have to do the same thing or even something similar.

Don't look at others. The reason that person is so successful is because of the points that mentioned here above. Their passion for the topic is driving their creativity thus generating success. If you chose that same topic you might not be as motivated because it's not your "thing."

Now it's time to getting started. Choose what peeks your interest and develop your own personal spin on it. That's the first step to being successful out here, so I hope you take this message seriously.

Choosing a Blog topic

Need Help Choosing a BlogTopic?

Choosing a topic for your blog can be tough. Everyone seems to have the next "big idea" or looks for hot topics.

After all, wouldn't you love to be the one who invented Twitter,MySpace, FaceBook or YouTube?

It often looks like so simple. Just come up with a cool idea, design and build a site, sell it for millions to Yahoo or Google and become rich!

Actually it's not exactly so.................

As it seems that this idea has worked for a handful of people, but the average story doesn't so quite like that. Thev only reason why I wanted to furnish this all-important page on topic choice.

First of all think yourself what you actually want to post in your blog. What is your mindset behind your blog post? What you looking to achieve by posing blog? Follow carefully what I am describing here:

Looking to Earn Money?

If your aim is to earn money with your site then I always recommend to proceed to the very simple approach.

Everyone would love to create something like the next Twitter, but due to all the programming and technical knowledge needed to build and maintain a site like that, it's not a good idea for the average person.

Even if you are going to pay a programmer to create your site, it would cost you thousands of dollars. It is beyond most of the peoples thinking that  the amount of resources that go into creating a site that offers user interaction and profiles.Besides this mainting a site like that is a huge task which also involves enormous amount of dollars.

As a newbie not to mention that you'd probably looking for free hosting space, which can cost nothing  month. At the you can forget the dedicated hosting space.

Yes, these sites look cool on the surface but there are a lot of hidden headaches that most people does not see.

So now let me explain "the very simple approach?" I'm encouraging you to do what I've done for publish my blog.

I don't own any fancy Twitter-like websites. I don't have a lot of Web programming n Web engineering skills. I just create sites on topics that interest me, draw in traffic and make money from affiliate programs like Google AdSense and other companies that helps me to publish advertisement in my site.

Spend quality time on the net grab your interested topics by visiting sites that interest you. How? Find out the information what you that not disclosed yet  by reseaching from the information you gathered. then post it in your blog in your way of thinking to your followers that you seemed to be helpfull for them. You'd create your site and then spend time learning about SEO (search engine optimization) so your pages get found in Google, Yahoo, etc.

Then you could make money from Google ads and refer other products that your audience may find interesting. For instance, you could join buxto.com's free affiliate program and refer others to join their range of offers to earn money..

Buxto provides you with the links to put into your site and you would earn a commission on every referals your site makes. They send you a check at the end of the month! There are thousands of affiliate programs like this.Go to here to learn more about it.

Forget about that just build and manage your site with Blogger by signing up with them and following easy n friendly instructions to start up.You could manage the site yourself with a program like Dreamweaver or CoffeeCup and you'd simply follow these website creation instructions to get started.

Or

If you wish you can use a program like Site Build It!, which was created to help people make money from hobby or personal interest websites. Their entire focus is to help you earn an income no matter topic you choose.

In double mind, What Topic is Best?

This is the question of millions! To be straight forward, nobody can answer it best. That's something you have to decide for yourself.

If your goal is to make money then I cannot stress how important it is for you to select something that holds your interest. Remember, this is going to be a site you will need to update frequently to keep your visitors interested and maintain your traffic levels.

So it's important you select something you know a lot about or at least have some interest in learning more.

Getting tired?? Don't be.... That's all for the day.

We'll come back with the rest ..........
